Description
For those unaware, my other passion/hobby in life is aviation. My father and I both volunteer at an air museum not far from home; we used to help them out about 15 years ago before a change in management and have only recently returned as volunteers after another, more positive management change. There may be older pics from this museum in my gallery. Not sure, and I'm too lazy to check.
My father's specialty is this plane - a 1950's British turboprop airliner called a Viscount. The plane in the image is the only intact example in the country and one of the few relatively intact survivors in the world. Dad's been working on the electronics in the cockpit to hopefully light it for dusk displays. Considering it used to sit in a decrepit corner of a low budget "amusement park" for many years before the museum salvaged it in 1996, this Viscount, 'John Murray', has come a LONG way.
Photo taken by me on 27 June 2015. The guy in the green striped jumper is my dad.

My dad was a pilot! In the Navy. 'Til he got meniere's (an inner ear thingy) and to stop flying. Well, piloting. He still flies all the time for work. I don't know what kind of plane he used to pilot, though. I mean, he probably told me, but I've forgotten.
